Everything about The View is amazing (we would say that, of course). The pièce de resistance, however, has to be breakfast – please read our reviews and see how often breakfast is mentioned.

The View on the terrace prides itself on using local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients where possible. We buy our bacon and sausages from Brace of Butchers in Poundbury, our butter is delivered by Craigs of Osmington and our eggs by SLB Eggs of Sherbourne. Our daily specials reflect the ingredients of the season. Our bread is home-baked (or locally baked) and the preserves and granola homemade.
Breakfast is served from a leisurely, 08:30 to 09:30 allowing you plenty of time to enjoy the stunning views of the sea and beach from the dining room.

To Whet Your Appetite:
Warm croissants with home-made preserves and a daily sorbet or smoothie.
The Buffet View: Help yourself to juices, homemade granola, a selection of cereals, natural yoghurt with honey and seeds, seasonal fruit salad. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, our buffet has been jettisoned to the kitchen, but we are still able to offer the same delicious variety (just ask Bill).
The Full View: Free range egg, bacon, sausage, grilled tomato with oregano, Ali’s ‘world-famous’ mushrooms, black pudding.
The Vegetarian View: Free range egg, veggie sausage, halloumi ‘bacon’, grilled tomato with oregano, Ali’s ‘world-famous’ mushrooms.
The Bijou View: Choose any items from the Full View or Vegetarian View

Always a popular choice. The special changes daily and comprises a culinary delight from Ali’s extensive repertoire. Specials include:
